Creating a borderline between materiality and immateriality.

I covered a building in tape and then shrouded its materiality in a loose veil.With the material presence of the building being denied like this,its whole existence provoked an appreciation of the to-and-fro between physical solidity and illusion.
In this state,its contours and color shimmered under the tape.

This shimmering building was realized for the Hyundai Department Store in Korea.The covering incorporated 3000 seatbelts,
and with the movement of the wind,the tapes gave the building a mirage-like appearance.
